Normally how many hours does a Hacker work in 24 hours? I am thinking to get in cyber security.

I 100% understand this is a business but $500 for a course you cant put on your resume because its not industry recognized is kinda wild. These are the things that deter people from the tech world. It prices out a lot of people.

How someone completely new to IT can be a cybersecurity consultant or a trainer for cybersecurity? Any roadmap for this?

Hey man, fellow Aussie here, I think I'll skip the google cyber cert because I have 2 years experience in cyber degree. I think I'll go straight to the hackbox courses you mentioned then onto EJPT, then my goal of OSCP. What do you reckon?

I just graduated highschool recently and will start college this fall and don't have the money to spend on training (yet). Already enrolled for ISC2 and have been doing review with the Cisco courses to fill in the gaps in my knowledge. Many thanks! Your videos have been very helpful.

i'm excited from my childhood, i've did some hacks yet there's tons to do more, close to graduate from school and lunch the real journey

This is a great example for motivational reference. The market is tough. I have a background in manual QA, and I've seen a lot of good people get let go, especially this last year. I'm apparently too good at what I do so they just pile on tasks that do nothing for my own career growth or have fostered anything I've mentioned interest in; instead tack on tasks that aren't even really related to the work I should be doing because I can do it and do it well (at least that's what they say). Ironic. I've had a growing desire to pursue cybersecurity more seriously since later last year where I started taking it more seriously. Started with Google's Cybersecurity cert to get my feet wet and determine if it's what I really want, and now spending my time on some other certs, learning more scripting, and going through a tryhackme path. Security is something I'm more concerned with when I think of my own little ones future and how things will be left for her (she's only hitting 4 soon). It's a driving factor for why I study 4-6 hrs each evening/early morning. But man is it bizarre these days. If I hear anything from companies it's typically weeks after I've applied (even if I did so in person) with a polite rejection (if that), or otherwise just no response. I even have some cybersecurity related experience from a QA perspective but that doesn't seem to matter. So I hit up youtube to see how things are going for others in the world and it's videos like this that I'm finding are one of a few ways I make sure to keep myself motivated. So, Thanks UnixGuy.

Got my Sec+ yesterday. I've tried some other home projects before, but it was too much for me. Key word is "guided" projects to start with. I like the progression that you offer

I have done my Masters in Technology in Information Security but then took a 6 year break for family duties. Now I am ready to start my career again and grc looks so interesting to me.. Just wanted to know if I should start with this course or with some other certs or profile first. To start after such a long break is the most confusing and hardest part for me.

I'm an older career changer studying thru a school for my Sec+ cert. Currently working on the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certification on my own time...with the rise in malware attacks, I find myself drawn to becoming a Threat Hunter or being involved in Digital Forensics. I find that type of work fascinating....not worried about the monies or chaos or the atta-boys... Does it sound like I'm barking up the wrong tree? Thanks for the video. 👍

I have yet to see a job posting where they aren't asking for an associate, bachelor's, or a masters degree. Where are these roles that don't ask or require a degree? What are the chances of landing a job where they ask for a degree but you don't have it?
